Volunteer Event- Greater Pittsburgh Food Bank and IMA

When:  May 9, 2026 from 09:30 AM to 12:00 PM (ET)
Associated with  Pittsburgh Chapter
We will be passing out food items to neighbors at a farmer's market style distribution in Homewood.  Volunteers will also assist with set up and tear down of the event.  This event is for ages 12 & up. Space is limited.  Hope to see you there!  
Additional details: 
 Please plan to arrive 10 minutes early. When you arrive, please report to a Food Bank staff member. They will get you checked in and provide further instructions onsite. 

Activity: Walk-In Distribution (Indoor) - Help set up and tear down this market style event, register community members to receive food, and distribute the food directly to our guests.

Requirements: Volunteers should be able to lift up to 25 pounds repeatedly for this activity. Closed-toe shoes are required. Please consider bringing water. Volunteers must be at least 12 years old to participate. All minors must be accompanied by an adult. Volunteers will be asked to confirm upon check-in that they have reviewed our Civil Rights Training Materials found here: https://pittsburghfoodbank.org/civil-rights-training-materials/. Volunteers are expected to stay for the duration of the shift.
